I want to leave something with my customers that will keep my name in front of them and they will see and use, my customers include, home owners, business, and insurance people, so ideally the item would be suitable in a home or business, any ideas??

Steve Smith's spotter bottle has been the best for me. It's been a big hit.

I don't give them to commercial accounts anymore. Spotter does too good of a job. Went from cleaning every 3 months to every 5-6 months. They always want more spotter. NOT!!!!!! giving it to them anymore.

I don't do that many commercial accounts.but for the ones that I do have

I always make sure that before I leave I put a business card and a pamphlet of information on every desk................it always pays off........

Spotter is pretty good, but I'll put Fridge Magnets right up there equally with it.

People hang on to those things forever. If you can make one that is bigger and truly good at holding papers & such, it has an excellent R.O.I., in my opinion.

What ever you decide on, send me one..

That cheesy business card with the micro magnet you sent me blew out my UD's window.

I give:
Bic Tri Stic pen
Business card
Business card magnetic
The Bic pens stay around for years - I change colors from time to time and can see how long people hold on to them.

Anyone ever find a good sourse for card guards, or swipe guards. There those plastic protectors that a debit, or credit card, can fit into then it just opens up to swipe. It protects the magnetic strip. I'd like to give 2 to every client. They will have those for years and every time they buy something your name will be right there. The store teller will see it as well.

An Idea I got from Claude Blackburn many years ago was to give a flower in a bud vase. All ladies like flowers, and that was a hit for sure.

That went on for many years, one of my customers was a wholesale florist, so the supply of these was a 2 way street.

They went out of business, so I switched to giving away a spotter, pens, magnets, and other items.

I would get fairly good quality pens with my info imprinted on them. I must have given away several thousand over the years.

what do these look like??

I am trying to focus mainly on my water damage business so spotter bottles are not the best choice for this, I am just looking for something unique and effective.

For Restoration and commercial customers, We gave away write on / wipe off marker boards. they were about 8 1/2" x 11" size. With our imprint they cost just over $1 each in 500 quantity plus shipping. I am sure prices are up now.

It could go on the frig for residential customers or on a filing cabinet in a business.

Customized spotter bottles were our best give-away.

From a consumer point of view: We had a cleaner give us a magnetic dry erase board a few years ago. We use that thing every day, and whenever the carpets need cleaned, his number is right on the fridge.

An Idea I got from Claude Blackburn many years ago was to give a flower in a bud vase. All ladies like flowers, and that was a hit for sure

Good idea, I did that for a while, BUT, the deal killer was the PHYCO chick who married the "older gentleman" to put it politely, he was like 5x her age easy. When I gave her the flower, a carnation, she said, "Oooo! a flower from a boy!" and she meant it that way! NOT GOOD! Also had a cust. commented how when she told he husband the CC was coming today, he said "the one who gave you a flower? " Again, not good!
Never out do the husband, no matter how easy he makes it!

We have done padded grocery lists, with 52/pad, the last one said, time to call Burris' again! Had magnets attached to them, worked out really well, so, why the hell did I stop using those? Thanks for making me think, good post!

Recently we have started leaving a small box of chocolates on the larger orders, shhh! Don't tell anyone! (we keep a plug in fridge in the van, oh, and no TM, hee hee!)

Have also looked into custom made Chocolate "coins" with thank you on one side, and our name on the other, the prices were actually pretty fair, but me being a glutton and all was afraid I'd eat them all

I saw a cool interlink magnetic pen at my Distributor.

It is a pyramid with a cool pen that balanced on it, the tip of the pyramid and the middle of the pen were magnetic. You could spin the thing and it would just keep spinning... I wanted one. Anybody with an office will love it...

If you want me to check it out for you, PM me, but better yet, PM MicahR because he's the lucky son-of-a-gun who has the pen... he'd know more about it.

You went out of business.

So who cares what you did?

WTH? We didn't go out of business. We're having our best year ever.

Unless you were talking to another Scooter?

The pens which Interlink gave to distributors last year were purchased through a company called Creative Expressions in Salt Lake City.

Not you, kumquat.

I'll have you know, Mr. Pissy, that there isn't another Scooter anywhere on the CC boards.

Your bad.
