Ever get the customer that saw on google to treat urine stains with Baking Soda? I'm hoping it will rinse out without issue.

It’s going to work as an absorbent, but it can difficult to remove. One of the reasons that it’s effective for counteracting flame retardant discoloration is its tendency to cling to fibers.

I should be of no issue on a synthetic; she will just need to brush and vacuum the area thoroughly once it’s dry.

Was this on upholstery or carpet Nick?

I default to upholstery automatically, and was ready to give Mikey a hard time over his RE/CRB comment, then thought better of it.

If she dumped a lot of this onto carpet, it can be a pain to get out. Mike's suggestions for removal are sound. You might want to use an acid rinse through your machine to neutralize the alkalinity too.

If the carpet is of "90's vintage nylon", it might yellow in those areas after HWE. Be careful if you are asked to clean it. The baking soda will likely wick to the top and leave a white haze at the least if she overdid it.

Some years back, there was one of those "Hints from Heloise" types of information going around that people could put "Santa's Footprints" around the Christmas Tree with baking soda.

That act created more than a little grief for cleaners.

OK, that's more than you wanted to know about baking soda.

Marty, if this annoyed you, mix some baking soda and water and it makes a good stomach antacid.

It's carpet. I haven't purchased a CRB yet. There's a lot of urine. I'll probably vacuum as much as I can out and then I'm thinking of treating the big spots with Unduz and treating the rest of the room with UPS and rinsing with Fab Set or Flex Ice. I will also probably use my 360 XL. The carpet is also of the Berber style so I may post bonnet with Encapuguard Green to prevent any wicking.
