$7,500,000 for 6' X 9' Rug!

360-year old Kerman carpet will sell for only $7,500,000. It is almost 6' x 9' with cotton foundation and wool-silk pile. It will be just under $140,000 per square foot.

It is being sold by Sotheby's in New York in June. William Clark, a billionaire industrialist who also became a senator, purchased it from a dealer in Paris while on a tour of Europe in 1925.
