Yesterday morning I had 3 level 5000 ft2 McMansion with about 2100 ft2 of carpet.

The client had just moved in and was camping out in the living room with the garage full of their possessions, while waiting for the scheduled date for me to clean the carpet.

How long will this take to dry? Is this going to be wet? The outside water taps were both busted and rather than run 3 hoses in the house and risk pissing this gal off with wet carpet (she insisted on moving her stuff into the rest of house ASAP) I decided to ask if she was interested in a low moisture cleaning process. After briefly explaining the positives and negatives, she happily decided that would be great.

Several hours of vacuuming and running some bonnets under the Cimex and I drove away with a thousand dollars in cash from an ecstatic milf who loved the outcome.

As much as I believe in HWE, there is a time and place for VLM.

Yeah, if you don’t have a conscience or any self respect
Many times people (our customers) put themselves in situations that makes it nearly impossible for the contractor (us) to provide our services fully.

I'm no fan of low moisture cleaning, but the dude said he vacuumed the carpet very well. I could see the low moisture buffing doing something better than a rug doctor would do any day. And putting some smell good behind to please the customer. The nose is the most judging sense we have

I was professional enough to tell the dude no, when he asked if I could clean his furniture yesterday🤪 Also, the church wants me to low moisture the rectory where the priests live. I’m NOT saying no!!!! I’m saying Yes Ma’am🤷🏼‍♂️ p.s. I will vacuum with my Shark if that will make you feel better😬

Matt that was exactly the situation this woman had going on. And these types often get pissed when they don’t get their way, so I gave her what she wanted. All of her requests fulfilled.

I vacuumed 3x, until the Shark no longer pulled anything, and went heavy on the 40 vol to attempt to break down whatever remained (not much, 5000+ ft2 houses usually don’t have dirty carpet around here). I dropped air movers as I went, just like I always do, so she could start moving in maybe 30 minutes behind my second Cimex pass.

Had she simply scheduled earlier and let me into a completely empty house, I would’ve extracted just like nearly every other house I’ve done in the last 10+ years.

You have to be professional enough to say no
I’m not professional enough to turn down $1000 to make someone happy.

In the words of the great Buck Strickland, of King of the Hill, when Hank discovers Buck has…electric appliances! Aaaww Hank, it’s not a higher calling! It’s just a business. It’s about makin’ as much money as you can, while you can.

Hit me up when you're ready but you should also consider this much more friendly resi and small office unit.- https://greenglides.com/product/trinity-odyssey-op-machine/

Saiger got one recently and LOVES it.
That thing is too small for what I am wanting to do. My goal is to target larger commercial accounts like churches, office buildings, hotels.

I hate residential and have done mostly commercial carpet and vct in the past. Looking to market “chemical free” stripping and low moisture carpet cleaning and turn my business into a skill free (so I can actually find help…) money printing factory.

Yeah, if your wife’s name is Diana, it won’t be good, trust me. Mine’s just barely getting the 4,200 behind her for a porty. Barely😬
My wife doesn’t care how much I spend or what I spend it on. We have always kept separate finances. 18+ years and I can’t recall one fight about money. However we do discuss our financial matters daily.

I might be exaggerating a little on the money.
Mine was just surprised a little and expressed it. We don’t have separate accounts. We’re an S corp. Good luck with the money printing help part though😉😬
