How many here have made a success of carpet spot dyeing?

Have you been able to make Carpet Spot Dyeing a successful business on it's own, without carpet or upholstery work?

Or have you made Carpet Spot Dyeing & Stain Removal one business & been successful?

Like every industry, we've had some horrible people luring us to their products.

But now, I find there are two very apt Ladies within the Carpet Dyeing industry, that are both honest & have integrity.

Cheers,

Shortwun. :yoda: :very_drunk:

I've had great luck with the Roper's system. Even has a 100% moneyback guarantee. :icon_twisted:

I had exactly the opposite, many years ago.
Paid for the system.
Never received it.
Then wouldn't answer any emails.
A friend in Orem, Utah, offered to go & see him as he lived just down the road.
I said no, I didn't want the big fella to get arrested. 😉

Might be an awesome post-retirement business for a person with patience and good color recognition, or someone doing a lot of rental/hospitality work.

We used to recommend an ex-Langenwalter dyer that did pretty well doing on-location work. She retired and we had no one to refer, so we trained a couple guys that were interested. Couldn't make it profitable, and there really wasn't all that much call for it from our customers.

We do a limited amount of color repair on Oriental rugs, but there's no way we could make that a stand-alone business.
