So, I've been working on my "retirement shop" for the last couple of years (wife says it is a retirement shop because that is when I'll have it done) and I've just laid down VCT because of its durability and price.
I scrubbed and laid down 4 coats of Spartan ishine with a microfiber flat mop. It isn't a perfect application, but it will suffice. I'm not sure I want to go through the hassle again of renting equipment, scrubbing, rinsing, squeegee-ing slurry, and stripping every year so I was wondering if a one time burnish now would increase the life and durability so I don't have to do this again anytime soon...like years.
Also, I would like to know if burnishing is something a novice can do...that's even if I can find a high speed burnisher in the area to rent.
