Those last pics are from the famous Clifton gorge, only 30 minutes from me.

Here’s how it looks this time of year.

That old mill was destined for demolition, but then a guy and his family left New York City and bought the mill... literally saved it.

Now he gives us this gift every Christmas and also has a great restaurant that serves the best biscuits and gravy I’ve ever had.

Made with flour manufactured at that old mill.

Who owns the waterfall and canyon pics land?

State parks?
It’s a state park, except for the mill and the land around it.

The little Miami river that runs through it is part of the park.

It’s a challenge kayaking through that.

Lots of pulling your kayaks out and walking them to the next spot.

The first set of pictures I posted are from the Hocking Hills State Park, which is a couple hours from Clifton. If anyone wants something different, then rent a cabin in the Hocking Hills for a week.

No jagged rocks that serve no purpose, ridiculous taxes, earthquakes and fires, but it’s still a nice state.

I always thought Ohio was a shithole state. Guess I'll have to think differently now.

You still have quite a few shithole cities surrounded by some beautiful countryside. 😉

Texas is pretty ugly.
I don’t know why they’re so proud of the place
