The LVP revolutions needs this in a bad way, those blue strips just dont cut the grime.

For my janitorial accounts, we mop 15-20k sq ft per night. A few years ago I started switching to flat mops. I was sold on them. Got microfiber pads from mop sales direct. After a year or two I started to realize that I was having to bring in equipment and scrub floors more often, and they always looked dirty. Then I started alternating flat mops with old school microfiber standard tube mops. I noticed that with old fashioned mops the water always got dirty in the bucket. With the flat mops it didn't. I've switched most of my jobs back. I used to be a believer in them, now I'm not.

He's mopping 20,000 sq a night. How many flat mops will he need?

It's not just the mop but what you use to rinse the mop off. I see a big difference in products at the dealership.

Flat mops are not good for scrubbing imo.

And I take it you agitate with it in residential setting? #justasking I know you’re a 175 person, or some type of mechanical agitation person, how in the heck do you use that??

Many don't need further aggitation

Some need the CRB

Some need a pole brush



It's rare when I use the 175 on HS.

It would make sense to use a HP portie and a turbo, even for nighly cleaning instead of moping. 7 story Hotel 1200 psi lots of tile and grout. The job goes 3 times faster and no resoiling from chem residue. The only jobs it wouldn't work are occupied residences, care homes or hospitals that demand quiet.

It would make more sense to use an auto scrubber than any other on that much sq. ft. No time to jack with it!

You can't detail with an auto scrubber. Gotta work around desks and odd corners n stuff.
Hard to beat a 24 or 32 oz mop head for cost and quality work.

I’m not saying the mop doesnt have it’s place cause you still have to use it with auto scrubber. I use both. Different size scrubbers and mops as well.

I started using a flat mop on a stained concrete floor at one of my accounts and the customer complained it made too much dust stick to the floor. He has ocd. Flat mops are a must have on the van.
