It's been real cold here too, -23 wind chill this morning. AND to add to my stress level the price of Propane has doubled since October $3.25 a gallon, AND the shortage is limiting the amount I can buy. Already used the same amount I used all last year. This sucks!

Keith or anyone,
What if it's(ice) happening at the machine? Do you think the flash cuff could cause this? Would going back to a vinyl cuff help? Maybe it's smoother inside...

You can also just wrap a towel around the connection, well that's what I do.. -10 degrees(real temp), 150ft run, no ice in the hose at all..

We buy in the early fall to get the best price and try and hold on until the spring. :eekk:

I pre buy as well. Bought this Fall at $1.80 per gallon based off of past couple winters. Now price is way up over $3.25 a gallon I guess.

Just got filled up 2 days ago.

Was informed I only have 150 gallons of pre buy left for the year.

Damn cold weather. It's been extra cold for 30 more days than normal around here.

Also just going through a ton of Fuel oil in the shop. Filled up couple weeks ago ($850 for 225 gallons) and we have already gone through a quarter of a tank.

Electric bill was over $400 as we have electric heat pump in floor slab heat in one section of my house/office as well as the propane heat.

Just can't find a magic way to save any money in this cold weather. Even the vans and trucks suck more fuel!

We have a 1,000 gallon tank and I would bitch when my 23-year old son would use up all the hot water. Well now he pays for the propane so all I can do now is thank him. He felt like he was using us so he offered to pay some of the bills, now I feel like we use him.

fck that

the CCing schedule is light, so I did a few this week by myself while the guys were cookin' on the rehabs projects
one or two of the days were high single digits ..and that's no big deal.
Those jobs were done without mishap.

This morning it was -4 actual temp with 15-20mph winds.
I had three small empties in a building with similar set up as your pic.
I never took the CCing van out of the garage
I loaded up my minivan with the necessary VLM goodies and "Mardie'd" them :icon_redface::winky:

At my last job I dug holes, trenches, pits ect. with high pressure water and a vacuum hose for 8-12hours in this stuff.. The time I spend outside setting up and breaking down a cleaning rig is a cake walk. We cleaned 7 rentals today at a balmy 10 degrees(warmest day of the week here).. I timed one jobs break down today(100' run, timer started after the last wand pass) at 2min 17sec. with no power reels, and my helper had no idea I was timing it.. It really isn't a big deal to work in this actually I'm glad to work as much as I can in winter. I don't like to work when it's 95 and high humidity at least you can dress for the cold(actually I don't even wear gloves)..

Our shop is about 2,500 Sq/Ft. We keep the thermostat at 45 degrees. Our gas bill is about $350.00 per month. If we want it warmer in the shop, the wood burner is very efficient. It's a bit of work to chop the wood that we gather earlier in the year. But, it also doubles as an oven and our source of charcoal. We eat some of the best meals down at the shop. Btw, the pot is for Crab Legs, call me a Red Neck!

I've taken the boys to this show a couple of times. It is AWESOME and has a lot of stuff cleaners could use. It outgrew Nashville's biggest venue and moved to Indy. Lots of entertainment and educational offerings. VERY inexpensive.

I will never forget my first Farm Expo as a kid
A lego in my creation I suppose : )
