Banks wants ne to clean everything. Carpet and hardwood floors have mold growing on them. The tenants left the food in the walkin freezer two years ago with the electric off. Yuck. Clean fryers grills everything. 9, 960 sq feet.

We've done a couple of those, one they just want light cleaning even though it needed more. It was around 3K if I remember right, the other wanted it detailed so someone could move right in. No kitchen stuff but ceiling, walls, floor, table chairs, counters and such. Ended up around 6.5K

We charged time & materials but gave an initial ball park using how many tech's and how many days. It was no worse than a lot of the fire cleanup we do.

Don't be shy on charging for it, Joey. You'll be amazed at how few banks get more than one bid on this stuff anyway.

PS Richard's idea on time and materials is a good one. It sounds like you will be doing a lot of tear-out. Don't forget to charge extra for all the PPE stuff you will be using and have very clearly defined expectations and job responsibilities. (For example, will you be doing the rebuilding?)

Oh, and two more things. #1 Be sure to get weekly payments from the bank based on your progress and #2 unless you have substantial employee and equipment resources this may be a good one to walk away from.

Bring the guy in from "Bar Rescue". He rescues some pretty nasty ass bars and restys. This week, he was showing the owner all the bugs in the liquour bottles, and he was serving custys that shit! Tearing into a cleanup like that should involve some thorogh inspection with the bank employee that is writing the check. Once you start into cleaning, all kinds of unbeknownest "problems" will crop up. Get it all in writing.

We just cleaned too, that's actually all they asked of us.

We don't do any reconstruction, sometimes light demo but we are mainly drying/cleaning.

Some of that really crusty stuff comes off easier with live steam. We have an Ospry steamer and a small unit too.

Jeez....I didn't realize they use Cintas for that show. They never seem to show any names of companies helping out, as Mikey experienced on "Resturant: Impossible". All we seen of him was his boots and cargo shorts. And the wand.

Yea, they actually credit them by mouth after the clean up... I rarely watch TV, only at a friends house..
