I saw Bob's ETM's they looked really solid. I've had TM's in the past. They're great machines but now since I'm only working part time
and am on a budget so I don't go crazy on all the latest gadgets. I think cleaners sometimes lose sight that they are supposed to be making
a profit and not buying every top of the line overpriced tool they can get their hands on.
I'm on a 10k budget and actually coming in under that and that does include a
crb, tile wand, buffer, stair wand, mytee upholstery tool, etc.
I decided to put everything on a cart and bring it to the door so I can get better performance. My runs will mostly be 50-75' and I think
at that distance it will work nicely. especially with 200+ degree water and 2 drying fans which i always use regardless.
If I were working full time (balls to the wall) I would have gotten another 23/45 or 27/45 setup for sure but part time it doesn't make
sense for me. With my current budget I'll easily make my money back and some profit by years end.
I have a great job that fortunately only takes up about 3-4 hours per day so I'll never give that up, but will be nice to get out of the house
and do a bit of hand on work and socialize with customers rather than being behind a computer/desk all day. I'm looking forward to it!
Some people have built viable etm's. Bob Savage comes to mind and he has a much better propane heater. It's not that it can't be done but it's not always the most practical way to go.
