Some of you carpet cleaners have mentioned that my website isn't that great and I tend to agree with you being of a carpet cleaning background myself.

But I have had 3 calls that I can think of this week that said how great my website is.

Everyone gets the questions;
How did you hear about us?
How did you find us?
Why did you choose us?

Those are prompts, I suppose, that would generate that kind of response but who knows.

After asking those questions these are typical answers

Surfing, Google search, Internet, Some local listings on the internet, Yellowpages internet, I googled you on my phone, Yahoo, Aol, Msn etc.

These are answers for my ads only...no referral answers...you get the picture.

After asking why? I generally will hear.
I tried a few and you answered the phone
You looked very professional
You were the only guy in my area...(I don't understand that one)
You were the first one that popped up...(probably hear that one the most)
Some will say, your website is professional, Your picture looks friendly, I like the husband and wife operations.

But when someone says, "you have a really great website" or "I really like your website" or "you have the best website"

It catches my attention.

It's just been happening more, and it is always from my demographic of lady's probably between the ages of 25 and 45...housewives.

So maybe us carpet cleaners don't like what they like?
Probably.

Which is more important?

I didn't think of this but

I don't get many mentions of the video.
It's right on the front page so I don't know.

Maybe the video sucks?

Likely it's all the calls you're getting for rabbit urine removal.

Keep up the good work!

Chavez makes a good point. You notice his brother Dan is in the spot light for the company and not him. That's probably why they do as well as they do. :p

Ok in all seriousness. The website is good. Have you considered flip flopping where your picture is and the video, so that the viewer can see who is talking to them, and then present the video below the picture. Maybe do that after you get the bios of the both of you ?

Good to hear things are working out.

I like the video to be the first thing you see when you click onto my site.

Paid money for it, so you know how it is...I wanna use it.

I do think the vid ads some professionalism to the site and it also ads a degree of friendlyness.

Things are going well and now I am afraid to make any major changes...at least for a while.

Content wise its very good. You just need to spruce up the layout, its a little messy.
