Legal cases
Since its founding in 1993 ACN has been subjected to five legal allegations regarding its MLM business operation.
In August, 2010 the Montana Commissioner of Securities and Insurance Monica Lindeen (D) announced the issuance of a Cease and Desist Order and Notice of Proposed Agency Action against ACN, Inc. and several of its founders for allegedly operating a "pyramid scheme." However, by September, 2010 the Commissioner moved to vacate the Cease and Desist Order, which was unopposed. In the course of the Commissioner's investigation, the Commissioner determined that the actions giving rise to the initial concerns were not part of the ACN business model, but instead were isolated instances taking place by certain ACN's independent representatives in Montana. The Commissioner and ACN agreed that ACN will implement additional training with its independent representatives to assist them in better understanding their responsibilities as ACN independent representatives, and that ACN would contact its Montana video phone customers to assist them with installation of their service. The Better Business Bureau reported that "Both the Commissioner and ACN are pleased with this positive outcome, and the Commissioner's efforts to protect Montana residents."
In Canada in 2002 and in Australia in 2004, ACN was alleged to be operating an illegal pyramid scheme. In each of these cases the allegations were found upon appeal or further investigation to be unsubstantiated.
On June 13, 2002, ACN settled a case with the Bureau of Consumer Services in Pennsylvania. The exact details of the settlement are under court seal. However, the suit alleged that approximately 135 informal complaints were filed with the Bureau of Consumer Services (BCS) between June 2000 and November 2001. According to the representations made in the informal complaints, 22 consumers alleged that ACN Energy switched their generation service without authorization (a process known as "slamming"), 81 instances of overcharging ("cramming") were alleged, and 32 complaints with allegations of various violations of the Commission's regulations contained in Chapter 54, 56, and 57 of Title 52 of the Pennsylvania Code.[38]
SAS ACN Communications France (ACN France) was found guilty of false or misleading advertising by the Tribunal de Grande Instance [ District Court ] of Paris on March 19, 2007. ACN France was ordered by the court to pay a sum of €15,000.
Several actions against ACN, many of which were not successful, still speak to the barely over their line business practices. And as for Donald Trump, IMO he's whores himself out to anyone to make a buck and he's as gaudy and garish as they come. Gold plated trailer trash.
You seem to dismiss that very strong negative sentiments of MLMs including ACN as people that are prejudiced or don't comprehend the opportunity. These people are not stupid.
The failure rate of people who invest their 500 bucks is undeniably high in comparison to other forms of business opportunities.
Its pathetic to watch someone annoy and pester friends family and everyone else around them.
You are the one that is delusional. And I would think its a reasonable assumption that if you asked most of the people on this board the question "Do you think that Brian is over the top with his constant promotion of his MLM stuff?" most would say you are.
Even if only 25% of the people thought you were annoying them, I question your personal values that you would knowingly do so when even that many people dislike you slinging this crap.
There are quite a few that won't say anything and endure it, others that come back less, and many that wish like hell they could put you on their foe list but can't because nobody can foe a moderator.
