I’m thinking more along the price of that truck over the chance it’ll hold charge

🤔 It gets 1 mile per 1.4 kwt. so in CA that's about 70 cents a mile, which I think is about the same as diesel.

My Ford E-transit gets about 2 miles per kw- or about 25 cents a mile. I'll be installing solar panels to charge my van- so my operational cost of the transit will go down.

are there added tax charges for lectro vehicles to makeup for the lose of tax revenue added in the price per gal at the fuel pump?
(in Cal it's 67 cents gal gas, 93 cents diesel)

🤔 I do not know. But there are a lot of extra fees and taxes on my utility bill.
I wonder if the registration fee is higher. Insurance sure is higher.

You pay a road improvement fee at registration

but it isn't close to making up what will be lost in the next few years as electric vehicles gain adoption.......may end up with a mileage based tax or just some other general tax to repair roads
