I used a borrowed old style drimaster last night on some uph. WOW! I will be buying one for myself. Dried incredibly fast, and was super easy on the hand. Production was real fast too. Made $318 in 2 hours with it.
I have the new drimaster upholstery tool. Stainless lip does fall off from time to time. This tool is my first choice for most upholstery. You have control over your moisture. I do find it to be well made. In my opinion you can't go wrong with this tool. Makes me feel like a professional. But my workhorse is the butler uph. tool. Greenie sold me 3 different glide styles. So it is very good also. I do not use stair tools at all. Ron
I have the older style tool. I've had two, and it's a good tool. But I really don't think you are going to get the cleaning action of other tools. Great of delicates but never my first choice.
