I had a good amount of info that I cut and pasted but it didn't work out.

Direct mailer for $.98 each. Comes down to $.90 each if mailing more than 5000.
Jumbo postcards, full color...they have carpet cleaning stock.

They design, print, ship and have the mailing lists to choose from.

I thought it was extremely expensive.

After all that...what is a good price for direct mailing?

Wayne, what are your costs?

Hard to get your head above water that way.

I don't know your numbers, But it would seem that you would have to get at least a 1% return just to break even and even a higher return to show a profit.

A 1% or better return with a cold ,shotgun mailing is a very risky, unlikely proposition.

Maybe if you had a targeted, warm list. Like with a JV it might make sense.

Even at that. I just talked to someone that did a JV to 1200 clients and it only produced 1 client.

(Less than a .001 return.)

Direct mail most of the time sucks. Unless you are using it to contact previous clients to prompt them to clean more often and stir up referrals from their friends.

We're visiting family in Florida so I don't have any pricing information with me. It does get expensive.

That's what I was thinking...I didn't do it...I just saw the prices and got severe sticker shock.

I don't know who would ever use them.

Try postcardmania.com. Good price. Good product.

I went with a local guy that said they would match postcardmania's prices and when it came time to pay, they got me on extra fees.
