Picked up a church for some synthetic area rugs and 300 sf of tile and grout, booked an apartment for tomorrow afternoon to fill in the day.. got a flooded suite at 6. Nothing big but I'm not too proud to take the smaller ones too.

Daughter is a nurse, a young man we go to church with didnt go last sunday went the week before he was there.

Reportedly Hes being taken to John Hopkins with all the signs.

We probably won't know for a few days.

Still hes connected to 2 church's that both had service last Sunday.

And also works at Northrop where my son works.

The idea that this isnt bigger based on a cdc number is foolish.

Someone on facebook suggested a total lockdown is coming.

My mom was speaking to her sister (my aunt) in a small, rural town in central Canada. My aunt told her that for the last week, they CAN NOT BUY TOILET PAPER. People are resorting to using the green wrappers they use to wrap mandarin oranges, Christmas tissue wrap, and even magazine paper.... there has also been multiple people arrested for going into grocery stores, loading up carts with food, and trying to walk out the door without paying...
This area of Canada is heavily reliant on the oil and gas industry, and have seen major layoffs over the last 2-3 years.
People are already destitute, and now this.....
I feel very blessed this far, as we are stocked up with all essentials, we are surprisingly busy with work, and have our health.
At times like these, we have to pray it doesn’t get any worse.

Our Gov is just shutting our borders to non residents.
No gatherings of more than 100, workplaces and schools currently exempt

phone is still ringing but calls have dropped

I'm Glad Chicken Little prepared me for this.
But my Positive thinking personality (denial) kept me in the stock market too long for my Marriott stock (was $143 now $63)
and too soon for my Ford stock. :eekk:

But I'm still buying stocks.-- in it for the longterm.

was it someone here or the Harleyfaq site that speculated more than few illegals will go home now that the service/hospitality industry has been shuttered

Not so sure that will happen, but there will be a supply of low-wage good workers (legal ones too) willing/able to work

Opportunity Damon for those heavyazz wet rugs you're going to blow your back out on....
and one doesn't have to be fluent in english to clean empty rentals

It's hard to think of a scarier job than walking into 4 to 6 STRANGERS homes
Every day.....and stirring up dust and who knows what.....remember when you grab that sofa cushion......some little snotlocker PROBABLY wiped his snotty fingers on it.....

Maybe a doctor or nurse might do it
But not me.....I'd rather live on Offers stoop........

Most likely you are dragging some amount of virus home to yor garage to
Fester....stew and ferment.....

Just heard they are putting in travel restrictions starting at 2 in south bend. I'm getting gas and everyone is using paper towels to touch the pumps. Lol

I'm out getting some oak boards to trim out windows and hardware for the new cabinets.

Need to go bid 3 or 4 new weekly custodial jobs yet and finish a new construction job.

I hope they lock us in so I can get some rest.

Thank God Home Depot is still open.
Stocking up on items for my to-do list so I don"t go crazy from boredom.

We should all be prepared for further restrictions on our freedom of movement.
Be prepared for "In-home Jail Time" for at least 2 weeks :eekk: :dejection:
