Rick Gelinas has the smoothest commercial sales presentation I have seen. Smooth, simple, and results oriented. Without a demo it is just a conversation. I always liked that line.

When I drop off info at a cold call...

I need only 20 seconds or so,to speak and leave...

If there is immediate interest...

Then I elaborate some more...

But anything self explanatory in a flyer...

Accompanied by these quotes...

If you have your carpeted areas cleaned.Compare what they sell you versus our list of standard features...
We are very high quality,been in business more then 20 years...
And we look to service you when you call...

Sell your self fast,the flyer's sell the rest...

The quality,reliability,fast drying,etc...should be in the fly-er...

An any promo items given at that time should reflect your quality...

A Bic pen with logo versus generic Chinese do not write and leak stuff.
Nice magnets,calenders like the ones the Wiz hands out or spotters with your name and logo...

Thats stuff you want...

But many times during a cold call you only have seconds to impress,make the most out of it...

Audiotapes to record ,listen and hear...Are great...
Look in the mirror and practice too...
Check your expressions, attitude,and use a quality deodorant if you are nervous...

But I find it is nonsense to be nervous...Sell what you believe in,do what you say...
An if they say no,feedback your self to see where you can improve...
