There are lots of them, and more coming every day. I believe that http://www.uprinting.com or http://www.overnightprints.com can do both for you. Also, Mailing Lists of Southern California (800)553-2123 can help. They do nationwide, despite their name.

But, you need to know what market you are targeting. The more specific, the more it costs.

AND, as I am learning, there is a benefit to using oversized cards. There is a very small cost savings from the $0.26 of a post card, for doing all the bulk mailing work. However, there is a substantial savings from the $ 0.42 on an over sized card. Possibly worth considering, at least to ask.

HOWEVER, we DON'T use these services, and for what we consider, good reason.

The only way that these services are truly cost effective is if you do a lot of cards. Great, you'll get (if you do it right), a lot of responses.

Are you brand new to the biz? Do you have a lot of trucks? If so, this may be of excellent use.

We are in biz over 22 years, yet most of our biz comes from new accounts, so post cards are critical. Cc'ers have a lot of repeat biz, as carpet needs to be cleaned more than stone needs to be restored. But I digress.

Do you really want 10-15 estimates a day????? Can you handle that? We can't, but we find that our best advertising is direct mail.

What to do? Well, we buy a list by cost of house and zip codes, and load it into the confuser.

Then we make up our card and print out several thousand. We get Avery 5160 labels at Costco ($ 24.99 for 4,200 labels), and print them up at the same time.

Next, we stamp them and send them out, depending on how busy we are, either 50 or 100, each and every work day.

This gives us a steady stream of 1-2 BUYERS a day. Doesn't sound like a lot, but our average ticket is around $2,800.

This way we aren't swamped with buyers. And, BTW, post cards almost always get you buyers, not shoppers. Shoppers go to YP, Val Pak and other such stuff.

When they get ONE card in the mail, and they call, they need the service.

Good luck.

Good info Al.

Are you still using RSVP?. What do you mean oversized postcards, 6x11?. You say home value and zip code for your list, do you care about income?.
