Another good reason for reviews on non-google sites

Google is showing the little yellow stars from sites like Yelp and Judy's book in the listings below and above the local listings.


It really helps your listing stand out whether you're at the top of the local listings or not

I have seen that Google is doing that which I think is a great way to get business. I don't see those outside reviews getting ranked on the first page for bigger city keywords though. Maybe if you get enough reviews possibly.

Google is as Google does.

It's never consistent and only somewhat predictable.

Of course they also incorporate them into your local review so that helps. I have seen some Yelp listings show up on the first page of major cities. I am surprised since they are easily manipulated. I would expect to see less of them the more they start becoming spammed.
