YP ad critique

Why shove that cute little puppy into a corner? He'll attract attention if you let him.

When we were cleaning it seemed quality conscious buyers were more concerned about finding a dependable, professional than they were with getting a discount. The discount takes up about a third of the ad. Why not put the emphasis on your benefits, services, guarantee and what makes you special?

Bob,

Become a supporting member @ 5 bucks a month (cheap)! You will have assess to the bird room. Just yesterday there was a marketing thread and Gary Heacock hit the nail on the head when he said about the yellow pages; go big or go small no in between. My guess is the content of the add is secondary to size.

Size matters...be it big or small!

IMO the add tries to say too much and its to busy with words, remember you just want to get one message across to stimulate the call.

When I had a display ad, one of the designers in the yp office designed it for me at no charge. It took maybe 30 minutes, you may want to ask if they can do this for you.
