How long does it take for a Yahoo local listing to show up on average?
I have tried creating a listing twice in the last month and it still hasn't shown up?
No email confirmation like Google, Bing etc.....
Am I doing something wrong or does Yahoo have issues?

Yahoo does have issues sometimes. One time they email bombed me...more like a hand grenade but that's another story

Go to your Yahoo local listings page and see what the status is. Pending, declined, or is it running.

Of course go to yahoo local and try to find your listing by typing in your company name and area.
Your listing should come up.

Like Google you need to have web presence (or be in a low populated area) to come up first.

List your site everywhere you can (within reason...don't list it on porn sites etc. lol)

I wouldn't try to list it on Yahoo Local more than once.

And yes, they should email you when it's up and running...if your email was correct.

I do an "enhanced" listing on Yahoo for $9.95 per month.

And remember to get reviews on it as soon as it come up.

You can try to contact Yahoo about it...they are a little better than Google for that....and they might be able to help.

Just make sure you did everything right...it might take a week or more to go live.

I emailed Yahoo this week regarding my local listing submission,

"Upon review, we cannot see any submissions from the Account Center of the Yahoo! ID of ?pelhambaycc?. To access and view your current listing status and submit a listing in the future, sign into your Yahoo! ID and account, and then go to this link"

I resent it this time using Firefox instead of Opera, and immediately got my confirmation email.

I started using Opera a couple of months ago. I really love the customization and features of it, but there seems to be a lot of compatibility issues like this.

Anyone else using the Opera browser?

Cool, I'm glad to see you got it fixed.

I haven't used Opera but the compatibility issues seem to happen with the Yahoo stuff with other browsers like IE to.
