Who is HE? the customer or store manager? Pronouns should be avoided in reports as they can cause confusion.

Customers are not always right. However, some unhappy customers are like unpaid consultants that can help you improve your business IF you have the correct mindset.

He the customer is the asshole. If I was the manager, I would have called the cops. Nobody has the right to abuse you like that no matter what the issue is . Take your car and get the f**k out of my store or the cops can remove you. Your choice.

True. As @FredC pointed out, the problem is that we don't know what happened before the video started.

ie. before the video started--Was a problem brought to the manager's attention before the customer got angry and the manager refused to correct the problem, causing the customer to go ballistic?

In a perfect world, the manager would respond:
Sir, I can see you are upset. However, you would not appreciate anyone speaking to you in such a hostile manner, and neither do I. So can we have the facts without the verbile abuse, and I will do my best to solve the issue? First, I appreciate you taking the time to bring this to my attention. Your safety and the quality of the service my techs provide are of utmost importance to me. And I want to thank you for personally providing me with this training opportunity. Now, what needs to be corrected?

The manager should have kept his mouth shut. He was just feeding into the customers rage.
Let the guy blow his steam while you take care of his concern.
Once someone is enraged there's nothing you can do but let them cool down and come to their senses.

what I gleaned was, the dude spent $1600 bukz there, has a brake squealing and has been back 4 times.

not knowing anything else, I think the counter guy handled it reasonably well.

The shop may be passing off shitty work and the customer is rightfully upset. I had sears milk me on some repairs and it took 7 trips to get it right. I totally get that guys attitude. Those kind of shop mechanics aren't repair specialist, they are parts changers that will try to get a round peg into a square hole just because they don't know any better.

I sued a shop a lifetime ago. Went to pick the vehicle up twice still had the same problem third time I took it somewhere else.
They argued in pretrial and I got excused by the mediator for a few minutes.cane back in hot an apology and my money back.
I never argued with them or made a scene.

I never argued with douche bag neither. Never lost my cool even the first incident.
