When I went thru a few cases of HotKnife, was the time I thought about the ammonia...since that HotKnife smells horrible..like ammonia.

And given the fact that Encapuclean o2 is with peroxide I figure an oz wouldn't hurt anything...the same as using the two part stain magic type chems.

Now Godzilla, that's another story...just a side effect of the experiment...

Mixing ammonia with a peroxide based encap detergent is a BAD idea.
Peroxide based polymers require an acid environment, and ammonia is alkaline.

8-10 years ago we took over a large account from the then Dupont Flooring Services and they had been using Resistech for several years, it had left the carpet stiff and had a dull soiled look to it.

The facilities manager refused any more low moisture be used in the building, not even from us. We cleaned 9-floors regularly with HWE for several years until the manager moved on to another facility. That was my only experience with it and the results were really poor considering what it looked like once we got it flushed out. Could have been misuse of the product but I would think someone would see how much product was being used over x amount of SQ/FT.
