This really does open up an entire new discussion:

How can you make it more affordable for customer's to have their rugs cleaned instead of replacing them?

There are so many inexpensive options open to consumers now for floor covering and some of our old ways of cleaning cost more than it cost to replace them.

Time to buy a large washing machine and offer it to people... A lot of homes don't have that large size washing machine and they don't want to go to the public coin laundry place that's really for ghetto dwellers ...

Or have them come to your shop, sit down and wait for their rugs. While you offer free WiFi...Maybe a cup of Keurig ...and a water bowl for Fido with treats.
Afterall, it's probably Fido's fault they're there..

Sell them spot removers while they're there.
Sell them your regular on location services (slide show on TV of your amazing before and afters and your crew pictures that make it a point that your guys don't wear tank tops as uniform)

The woman behind this came in to show us her pre-production concepts and fabrics. Initially she was going to set up a network of rug cleaners that the rugs would be sent to. After tossing a few bad fabric choices aside and recommending pre-shrunk fabric, we all knew that professional cleaning wasn't going to be needed.

Best of luck to her and her biz. It's a concept that will work well for millenials living in condos, but I think actual rugs will still be the choice for grown-ups.
