Relatively new apartment block has travertine kitchen tops.

They also have a large domestic coffee machine on it.

Coffee has spilled onto the travertine and stained it.

Can someone describe the method to restore this please ncluding all materials.

Thanks,

Ooroo,

Shorty.

Why do people do this stupit crap.

You'll need a poultice. Usually DE(pool filter media) mixed with a solvent or rubbing alcohol til it is pastelike. Cover w/plastic and remove after a day. Repeat if needed.

You'll also likely need to remove the etching with diamonds and re-hone or re-polish it.

You can seal it, but that will not prevent etching. A nice piece of glass to cover it will work.

When you are done, break off a large piece and beat the salesman over the head with it.

If it were me I would use Diamatious earth and 40 vol as a poultice.

Slop it on good and thick, cover for 24 then let dry. Repeat as many times as needed.
