I have a tile and grout job scheduled soon and the customer used a Zep product called grout cleaner and whitener on different areas of the grout. This product is made with hydrochloric acid and now she has some bright spots on the grout and she is hoping when I clean it it will all blend in. My question- is it safe to use acid on Terracotta tiles and if I don't use acid and I would rather not since there are too many appliances all around, will a product like Saiger's Tsunam or something similar work well enough to blend in the area that she attempted to clean. The Tile and grout has never been in 30+ yrs.

Yes you can use acid on terracotta and there is a chance that a really good cleaning will match whatever she did but without pictures it's hard to say much more than that
