Rotary Vacuum Hose Size?

I'm servicing commercial accounts (with elevators) using Orbot Vibes for quarterly cleaning.
I have portables using wands for the yearly cleans.
I was looking at getting a T-rex, or similar, but noticed it comes with a 2" vacuum hose and my portables have 1 1/2" hose ports.
Can I run a rotary efficiently if I connect the 2" hose to a reducer where it connects to my portable?

Scott, I run a 360i off two 5.6” three stage vacs. You can use up to 50’ of 1.5 hose, but take time to make drying runs at slow speed.

The 360i has a 2” sight tube, but you can stuff the 1.5” cuff in it and it will work fine.

One thing; if you don’t have auto pump out, you’ll be trotting buckets quite often. Figure ten gallons/room.
