I just hired a person to call my database. Placed a ad on Craigslist. I was surprised they charged $25. I received over 180 inquires and most sent resumes. I had several really good candidates that I took a 2nd look at. The one I hired is doing great, already booked a few jobs.
I think it's an indication of the economy. Many who applied, (I was advertising for a very part time position) I could tell were applying just because a part time gig was better than nothing. People with masters degrees and everything.
