Looking for some input on home shows. I'm doing my first one next month. I think the rep said they 2-3k people coming through. Any really cool ideas?

Here are a few things I'm thinking...

Handouts;
- Jondon spotter bottles
- magnets
- $25 gift cards (made to look like real gift cards with a fake bar code on the back etc.)
- pens and notebooks

8x10 banner listing services and logo
1 whole house cleaning give-a-way drawing
Blow up before and after pics (or set up laptop with slideshow)
Print large display placard with client testimonials
Several clipboards with "Sign up for a free quote"
General educational material on display placards.

Any other suggestions?

Depending on how it goes this year I might get an outside booth next year and advertise free area rug cleaning during the day...

You have a good list there, one trick we do is give out Blow Pops for the kids.

Ask the kid and the parent comes too, sometimes even wants one also. It's an ice breaker, people really don't want to make eye contact with you for fear you'll try to sell them something. This breaks down the barrier for some people.

Give their kid a piece of candy and they lower their guard a bit. They thank you and feel obligated to ask what you are selling.

Then give them your gift card!
