Guess I am doing things backwards...Like Usual

I started participating in the clean room forum without introducing myself first. So, the astute person would already know that I am a very focused (or narrow-minded if your not an optimist) person. My goal was to learn and get information and I did so without reading the introduction. My apologies. I am however looking forward to becoming a member so I can further my knowledge.

Now the boring information...the stuff about myself.
I enjoy long walks in the park and whatever else my wife wants to do.

Well, seriously I have only been cleaning carpets since the end of 2008. I work for a Service Master Franchise in Vero Beach Florida and really enjoy what I am doing. My work background has nothing to do with carpet cleaning or Restoration work but I find it fullfilling and challanging at the same time. Since I am new to the business I joined this forum to broaden my knowledge of the industry. That way I can perform a better service, not really for anyone but the customer and my own self-satisfaction of know that I did my best.

I found out about Mikeysboard.com through google. I was looking for websites that might answer some of my carpet cleaning quesiton.

Ouch. It hurt to write that much about myself. I will have to resign for now.

Glad to have you around man. Franchise cleaners are always interesting to talk to. Different perspective and all that.

Since you are PROBABLY not involved in the purchasing of supplies and equipment yet, AND since your employer naturally purchases most of his stuff from ServiceMaster Central, you won't have to worry so much about all the supplier sharks that hang out here. You'll just have to make sure that you don't fall for everything the part-time cleaners here tell you.

The prison guard/part-time cleaner is the worst.

No I am not involved directly in the purchase of our supplies and equipment but my boss will give his ear to a suggestion. But I have only been in the business for 6 months, so they take that into consideration too. As for the supplies from the franchise, they don't offer everything we need so any info I can get on different products is all the better. Need to use whatever works.
