Read all your comments before watching. I was really expecting to see some hack. I really can't see why you guys are knocking him. Compared with what's out there he seems to have a pretty good idea of what's going on. Dry Vac, prespray, prescrub, rinse/extract, he's even using an acid rinse. As he said, he was just doing a basic cleaning, wasn't giving it a scrub. Even using a inline filter. He does need a
glide with that wand and a more professional look though.
Are you guys really doing anything different if you had a job like that?
Some of the differences I am sure we are striving to obtain:
Uniformed look with uniforms (and with a logo)
Corner guards.
will agitate no matter what (mechanically).
Not beat up my wands so there is a big dent in the back (like on his).
Yes, glides, check valve extenders....
Not belittle the client about how much soil is in their carpets with our comments. Reassure them that it can be surprising how much soil is in a carpet (look at his website and some other videos for that comment too).
Wouldn't empty my filter on their drive way (have a bag there if you are going to open it up for them)
Would have logo or decal on vans (again as well as uniform) for customer comfort and identity of your company.
Did he really prevac?
Just a few quick thoughts that came into mind, and small things, but add up to larger things.
My wife's comment was, would you feel comfortable with him showing up at the house if you were not home and no uniform? His personality was too casual in her opinion. Needed a bit more professionalism, and again the way he dressed and showed up, he had a lot of work to do.
I guess viewing a women's perspective, she felt uncomfortable and again, "she said you would have a hard time wondering if he was really part of or owned a company".
