Drymaster uph. tool maintenance

I'm trying to take the tool apart due to that there is some obstruction in the solution slot. The .006 feeler Gage is not able to take out whatever it is that is blocking it.

The valve needs to be taken out before disassembling the rest of the pieces. Anyone know how to take this valve out?.
