anybody ever take one of these tools apart to replace the ball valve that turns the flow on and off? how complex a repair is this? is it possible for a person of limited technical ability to repair this thing without damaging other components?

mine is currently functioning like a lawn sprinkler.

I'd say they are pretty easy to service.

Replace the spray jet while you are at it also.. If worn.
