About a week later, I extracted it with a portable extractor and cold water. The water came out maroon. We called a carpet inspector. He informed us the "legal" definition of "solution dyed" means at least 90% of the fiber is solution dyed. The maroon dye in our multi-colored carpet was NOT solution dyed at all. It bled like a stuck pig. Larry P.S. Solution Dyed Fiber - SOME color is permanent Last edited: Jun 12, 2013 Reactions: J Scott W
