I bought one today for commercial carpet cleaning. My question is do you guys use pads or the brush heads? They (jondon) sold me a box of the beige color pads similar to the pads you use for stripping VCT. Is that what I'm suppose to use for CGD?
This encap thing is new and just a little bit terrifying for an old timer.

The pads do a much better job than brushes. Dampen them with solution before you put them on the pad driver.

Trigger solution walking in a straight line as if mowing. Turn around and scrub coming back. No solution only scrubbing. Repeat.

*Any time you stop, turn the solution valve off and tip the head up off the carpet. If you don't you'll leave a spot from the pads that will surely be an unnecessary call back.

Wow, good stuff. Thanks Richard!

It is a such shame that Desky's aham... Thunder-Boink's talents are wasted in the laundry/dusting field.

I am afraid that he was actually abducted and calling on the community here to start the Free Chavez campaign.

Very good advice above about the benefits of pads over brushes. Our beige FiberPlus™ brand pads are a synthetic fiber blended with an elastomeric binder. The denier of the pad fiber is very fine. So it is not abrasive to carpet. And the elastomeric property of the FiberPlus™ pads helps the pads to hold up to the rigors of carpet cleaning. Keep the pads lubricated and the machine moving, without standing in one place. The beige pads are safe for all sturdy carpet types made from synthetic fiber (which takes in all commercial carpet). We wouldn't generally recommend them for very delicate fiber such as frieze or natural fiber. The FiberPlus™ pads are especially effective for scrubbing carpet since they disperse the detergent more evenly than brushes can. They also make better surface contact than brush bristles so the carpet cleans more efficiently, enabling you to clean faster and more thoroughly. Their excellent scrubbing nature explains why the original FiberPlus™ pads have become so popular (and are often imitated by the competition). Used with care, these pads can significantly improve your commercial carpet scrubbing. Enjoy your new Cimex!

My CRB is broken so I scrubbed with my Cimex today. I almost killed myself unloading it from my van. But it kicked ass scrubbing. I used the tan pads I bought from Excellent Supply.

Yeah, sonny boy said, "This thing is supposed to be heavy, but it's not". He picked it up to his waist and pumped it up and down a couple of times. I couldn't get it off the floor.

If you lift it on your own, you need to make sure to drain the solution. It seems every time I load it up by myself I dump solution all over me.

The weight isn't too bad, it's the awkwardness in where to grab it.

That's my only negative thought on the cimex. Why in the world can't they put a lid that closes over top of that tank?! Could you imagine the top of your Hydroforce sprayer having the entire top of it removed while you're trying to drive down the road. STUPID

MAKE A TANK WITH A CLOSED LID, MORONS!

I actually bought a ramp for my climax when I first bought it.

Got tired of lifting both ramp and machine. Also got tired of changing them little tiny circle pads cause they would get dirty pretty fast.

175 cleans just a good. Might be a tab bit slower but not slow enough to justify why I bought it and the cost. Sold it not long after. The guy I sold it to, I heard fell down a set of stairs with the machine and all. Put him out of commission for a long while.

Nothing is going to scrub as well as the planetary action the Cimex delivers. It does weigh a lot, however that weight is part of why it works so well.

Lots of machines will do pretty good in head to head cleaning but non will clean as well, as fast or as easily as the Cimex.
