Found a small Oreck jiggler machine (for home use, I guess), and would like to use it for a job that I have calling me every few weeks because students spill drinks on the carpets. It's small and easy to haul, but I haven't looked into pads for the machine. Anyone keep one on hand for small spotting jobs?

Same here. Bought one off of CL and love it. Use it for stairs, touch ups, tile and grout (orange brush) and smaller jobs.

The stock "nubby" pad driver sucks, so you will have to get some Velcro and do a little modifying.

As far as pads, I use 13" mf pads with scrub strips.

With a pad encapping steps, encapping returning spots and with a brush scrubbing steps and small traffic areas they work very well and at a good price too. I wouldn't go to a job with out this tool.

I just got one from a client a few weeks ago and I love it. Cleaned carpets in a nice cabin cruiser the other day with a brush and mf pad. Cleaned up so well I received a $100 tip!

I'm a little confused here are we talking about the SHARK SONIC DUO or does Oreck have one too.

The picture above is a small floor scrubber maybe 12" isn't it ???

I thought Oreck went Belly UP ??????

I have a similar Argo unit modified for hand-held operation. Fits nicely into a five gallon bucket with a few regular OP pads. Easy to store on the truck for small jobs and touch-ups.

Oreck have had this machine out for about thirty years to my knowledge.

I have the XL.

I use it with white and also red pads, as well as a brush or a bonnet.

Fantastic for those smaller, tight jobs like R.V.'s, boats, one room apartments, stairs, spotting, I even use it in some commercial setting where the Cimex or even the Sprayborg will not fit, or are too awkward.

I have the Oreck orbiter which is what I think you're talking about and works well for those specific jobs you mentioned

I like the little Orbiter too. Have had one on the Kleenstep truck for several years now. Don't use it often, but it's come in handy on many occasions. For as little as it costs, I'd highly recommend one. Plus it's so small it hardly takes up any space in the van.

That Oreck machine is fantastic for prescrubbing traffic lanes...I like the black soft bush for that purpose...

Thanks to all who responded. I expected to be taken to the wood shed for an ass-whoopin'! I thought it would be an excellent quick spotter . Now I know that many experienced cleaners....even Ricky....that have used this unit for SMALL touch up jobs.....not for complete cleanings. I just wanted another tool since my Conqueror shit the bed.

I have one, have had it and used it for years. It CAN be used to clean an entire house, or whatever, but it is slow going. It will also bloom tips on cheaper cut piles very quickly.

Robert, my Conquerer shaft broke and CCS doesn't support the machine any longer. I was able to get a new motor from Clark Lancaster at this business:
