Anyone have any luck with Joe Polish's EDDM?

I haven't used any of Piranha' stuff in years. I've never gotten more than a 1 percent response from any of Joe's 3 step letters and mailings 10 years ago so I quit using his stuff. I need to at least break even and get new clients.
