We used to do damage corrections for a few moving companies, anywhere from cleaning dirty carpet from the movers, to fixing scratches on the floor.. Most people just took the money off what the company would offer to correct it.. If they complain loud enough, money has always had a way of shutting them up..
A few customers were just mad about the principle of the matter.. Told the movers to put down cardboard to protect the new floor.. They didn't and he wanted to make them pay.. $900 to dab 22 nicks on the floor.. The guy apologized to us for having to correct it, 20 mins later it was finished..
Wood finish stain markers was the fix for that job..
