When you're wanting to make it as easy as possible for your potential clients to contact you, do you need the added security of Captcha?

I personally hate them, I tolerate them out of necessity.

I'm re doing my cleaning website and the code comes with it in, but seriously thinking of ditching it.

Your thoughts and experiences?

Only thing my web designer said is they are for automated spamming. I guess they weed those out.

I'll agree I don't like the distorted letters, particularly when they mix upper and lower case with numbers.

We formerly used our spam filters to block spam. When there got to be a great deal of spam it became a pain to manage, as customer e-mail got dropped into the spam folder enough that every message header had to be read. We now use the CAPTCHA model that asks the person to complete an equation. Ex: 1+12= ___. So far no one's had a complaint about typing in 13.
