US Products made 2 upholstery cleaning portables that were of exceptional quality. While they were expensive. They came with a well engineered upholstery tool. The overall performance was exceptional.
We used them extensively maintaining furnishings for designer clients in New England.
Anybody know of what the equivalent might be today. Like, kind, quality ?
We would still prefer an ultimate or xl 60 or even a kleenrite to a truck mount when cleaning upholstery.

It’s probably a great machine. A 3-4 gallon machine be half the size and weight. Great for bringing into a city apt or condo in Boston or NY. The tool kit had 4 different interchangeable heads including drapery tools. Had a galvanized stainless body .

Kleenrite still makes the 204, which can both wet and dry clean.

We don't sell them much anymore, as the need for dry solvent cleaning isn't as important as it once was.

They are a durable, well designed machine though.

The 204 is a great option, but have you looked at the Sphere? It is a 4 gallon machine. Jim found me the 200psi heated model. It is perfect in high rise settings.

We cleaned a bunch of drapes in the 80s.

US Products is no longer making the PBIII and if you can find them used, which is very rare, they will be very sought after. I have been cleaning window treatments and fabric shades since 2000 and love the PBIII. The pumps for them are no longer available. I had mine go down last year and was fortunate to find another complete machine at a very reasonable price but no replacement pumps stinks.

Kleenrite is the best option if you want to use solvent based detergents.
