Took off bottom bolt to release and top to vent only to lose 6oz. Added back because I didn't want a 1/2 oil change.
What method does TM mechanics use to extract Blower Oil?
thanks in advance

#3 Blower?
Only holds about 5.33 ounces in a vertical configuration.

all my TM's were horizontal. don't recall what the 47 used, but pretty sure the 45's were around 22 ounces.
butt...
I "think" they all use less oil in the vert config regardless of size ?

wonder if there's any data to show one fails more than others given both gear bottoms are in oil as well as more oil vs only lower gear in vert config with less oil?

This is a 2013 Legend GT #4 Sutorbilt blower.
The manual says both water pump and Vac Blower have a 14oz capacity.
Maybe that's why I'm right above 1/2mark on site glass using 6oz?
I'll call the JonDon mechanic I know Tuesday as this oil is vulnerable to overheating if too much.
We did use an air compressed tool to help remove as much as possible and I believe the TM mechanics would do no different. I'm not running this at load or on a job yet& If I do this over again to clear doubt I should probably park on a hill like I do when I change engine oil 🤔

"Vacuum oil capacity is 14oz at gear end."

The exchange rate here of old Aeon oil vs New Aeon oil doesn't inspire confidence. Here we are as glorified vac cleaners and there's no vac attachment to extract...
