I think we're all about the same age, right?

How many jobs are you guys doing in a day?

By yourself, not with your brats tagging along.

During the rush that we just went through I’d do 2 to 4 a day by myself. Brady did the rest.
During normal times I’ll do 0 to 1 a day by myself

left shoulder is all screwed up to where it hurts to move it.....4 disk in my neck are shot and give me migraine headaches....I have a titaiam box mounted in my chest with 2 wires stuck in my heart...but..I still do 3 by myself and 4 to 5 in the busy season......but I am at the point to where...it is time for me to step back and hand over the keys and run it from another angle.....live life a little better and in less pain...

Damaged both knees playing sports. Decided I needed a helper by the time I was 30. Got off the truck except for very busy days by the time I was 40. By the time I was 50 I had put on enough weight from sitting at a desk to do more harm to my body than if I had been doing 4 jobs a day by myself.

Everyone has different pains and pain tolerance but I find it annoying if I ask for help moving something heavy and they tell me they have a bad back or something else. I have a bad back and bad shoulders but the damn thing still needs to be moved. I have a commercial refrigerator that I have to load and drop off at a fair. The person who owns it had 3 people doing it last year and they still dropped it. Must have all had bad backs and shoulders.

Never had an issue until 4 months ago.

I cleaned the windows inside and out of a large retirement home all by my lonesome.

6 hours a day over a week.

My right elbow is still sore. I find that Glucosamine helps a lot.

Luckily the pain doesn't come on when I wand.

I am concentrating on vacate cleans so on a typical day I will do the carpets on a couple of vacate cleans where I have fitter and younger guys doing the other cleaning then do a 3rd carpet clean somewhere else where that is all they want done.

Jim that is pretty amazing.

I'm thinking guys 20 years younger would find that pace daunting.

Another angle? Yep I am sure something will present itself.

Good luck.

You BETTER! We will sure miss you if you keep it up. No amount of money is worth losing you. Slow down Jim to 1 a day.

All I’m hearing from you old goats is something my father used to always say to me before he passed...
FAIL TO PLAN, PLAN TO FAIL...
In other words, make concessions NOW, so I’m not pushing a wand in my later years....

At 55 I still work full days cleaning carpet and long weekends working on houses. I work harder now than I ever have. Am going to start taking a day or 2 off a month during the week and probably start taking vacations throughout the year.

I'm 54 and busy as ever. Can't even keep track of how much work I do.
2 to 6 a day but then there's rugs and outdoor cushions in the basement to do. My electric bill was double normal last month from the fans and dehumidifiers running.

Went to the chiropractor the other day he said my head wasn't on straight. Not sure if he meant my neck or not.

Got a new patio set to move. It must weigh about 1500 lbs. Original $1500 got it for $600 and 4 rooms of carpet cleaning. IMG_0778.jpg

59 today, never work alone. the number of customers is relevant but also the size of each job. Yesterday 3 jobs/$4500, today 5 job's/$1500. Taking tomorrow off for a breather.
