I know my wand is fine and Toms gonna take care of it, he already messaged me and is sending me out new set screws.

And if I wasn’t dying to get out of this business in a few years, I would be another one!

Sorry I said that! Great products!

Thanks Tom, also sorry Meg shouldn’t of mis spoke about your situation.
Most hardware stores carry set screws. Take one with you to match up and buy extras.

Back in my machining days we use to throw a lot of those away because they wear so fast. You can cut an X on the bottom of them also for extra grip.

Jhc..

Get some fn LOCKTITE!

I tried that but they still slipped.

It happened after I Greased my wand for the first time.

Been doing it four 2-3 months at least.

Last night I pulled each set screw individually and cleaned them also used a q tip to clean the threads then used locktite and put it all back to gether.

what flavor Loctite?

there are different strengths
as hot as a wand head gets, the lighter sticky grades will soften with minimal heat

I just needed to say I shouldn’t of included Bristors name with the likes of Harris, and Duane!

I think those guy are in a special group all they’re own and to try and throw Cobb or anybody in with them isn’t cool at all.

I use the wicking grade or med/high strength most often
(gun related stuff, sights, frame side plate screws, etc)

how often do you need to remove the set screws?
If not often, I'd use the medium/high strength .
You can heat them to loosen with a cheap soldering iron or a butane pencil torch :winky:

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't you say you injected grease into these four set screw holes, thinking they were lube points?
No, Tom has a video first screw of the three little ones grease goes in there.

But if you notice in the video it will start to ooze out the front of the swivel.

That when you stop wipe and go.

I actually never touched them. They came loose after I greased the head developed a little wobble.

I just started tightening them but repeatedly came loose.

I should’ve used the locktite he sent me with the wand immediatly!

I’m not that smart!

I bet Damon’s never had to locktight his Dev.
I never have.
I’ve had my wand for about three years now. I think Tom took it from me once and took it all apart. Measured the races, weighed the ball bearings, and checked for play and wear. My wand is still holding up great, especially for being prototype #3. Mike has #1 and my buddy Ivan has #2. As far as I know all are good. I’ve heard stories that Mike’s crew is even tougher on equipment than myself.

I would love to get the newest of the new designs, but my wand and swivel just keep going like me at a Buffett.
